2016 Sherwin-Williams Color of the Year

Sherwin-Williams has released their 2016 Color of the Year… ALABASTER! It’s my favorite white from Sherwin-Williams and is what we used for our trim and doors, and also some pieces of furniture that I have painted. It’s a great neutral white, and in my opinion will go with just about anything.

I love these rooms below painted in Alabaster. They have so much character and color!

Or you can create a lovely neutral palette with Alabaster as your wall color. White can be used in so many different ways, it’s a great way to start fresh and create the style you love.

Jackie Jordan, the director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams said this about Alabaster: “Alabaster represents a straightforward and necessary shift to mindfulness. It provides an oasis of calmness, spirituality and ‘less is more’ visual relief. Alabaster is neither stark nor overly warm, but rather an understated and alluring white.”

Tomorrow I am going to show you the after of this 1960’s TV console that we picked up on the side of the road.

We gave it a complete makeover and even painted it Alabaster, more on that tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
